Care Cuts is a forward-thinking organization that we proudly helped bring to launch. Founded in 2009, Care Cutz is a social enterprise connecting those in the special needs community with barbers and stylists to provide salon services through responsive app technology.
We partnered with Care Cutz in the early stages of the company’s formation to help lay the groundwork for the brand’s communication strategy. Leading with an ultra-intuitive approach, we established a direct and informal tone that simplifies the search process, and makes booking an appointment as easy as a few taps.
An Easy to Use Platform for Clients & Providers:
After a communication strategy was established, we researched the competitive landscape to find points of opportunity within the market to separate ourselves from the competition. This list of user requirements provided the foundation for the application's sitemap, and detailed the various user flows needed to make an appointment.
Once a dynamic information architecture was formed, we developed interactive wireframes of the mobile app - providing a clear overview of the “client-facing” and “provider-facing” points of the application. These wireframes were tested by users on their mobile devices to ensure the interface provided the necessary functionality for each user.
Since users have a wide range of disabilities and special needs, we focused primarily on making it easy for providers to accommodate to these specifications. By allowing providers to view disabilities and special requirements upfront, we help match users with experiences that meet their unique needs.
Finally, we developed an ADA compliant user interface design that simplifies the search for barbers and stylists, while making payment for services quick and easy. As an added feature for users, we even included the capability for families/multi-users to book appointments with providers to further the brand experience.
