Battelle
Creating a responsive online experience that simplifies a large skillset through custom iconography and illustration.
Fresh Squeezed Simplicity.
Battelle is a private nonprofit that specializes in applied science and technology development. So what does all of that mean? Well, that was their main problem.
Since the company's large product and service offering was intimidating customers, we developed a custom microsite to organize their massive skillset into collections relevant to their audiences' industries. This re-categorization of products and services stood as the structure for the new site's various user flows and sitemap.
Repositioning the Product Landscape:

With the website's information architecture clearly defined, we developed interactive prototypes that detailed the content and key functionality of each page. After testing the wireframes across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices we then optimized page layouts to provide the best experience for each user groups.
After wireframe testing was completed, we brought the educational website to life through the applications of custom illustration, iconography, and animation. This online resource, coupled with informational videos and photography, helps simplify the purchasing process of the complex manufacturer.
